Dear All,

Unfortunately the St Georges Day event for this year, 2019,  has had to be cancelled The district team worked on this for some time following the feedback from the sections but no suitable venue could be found.
Thanks to all those involved in the process this year. We hope that we have something in place for 2020.

On a cold night in March, Sue Budd, Kerry Budd and Veronica Radford attended the 11^th Pack night to present Finley with the Lee Budd Award for “Outstanding Endeavour”.  This is only the second time this award has been presented as the recipients have to overcome extreme adversity.

He is an outstanding Cub Scout who has persevered and continues to conquer his fears and problems in everyday life.  He enjoys his cub experiences (park nights, outings and camps) and has benefited in many ways from all the new and exciting experiences cubs has offered him during his Scouting Adventure.

Congratulations Finley.

We are holding 3 weeks of taster sessions with a view to opening a new Scout troop in Southampton for young people aged 10-14.

Join us between 7 and 9pm on Friday 8th March for the first of 3 sessions at 2nd Southampton Scout Group, Ridding Close, SO15 5PJ.

On Friday 8th February, Southampton City Cubs and Leaders held a party and disco to celebrate what would have been Robert Baden Powell’s 162nd birthday this year.

127 Cubs, along with Leaders and Active Support attended. A fun evening was had by all with dancing, pass the parcel and birthday cake.
