Thelma Young has kindly agreed to be the “Acting DC” for Southampton City Scout District while the search for a new District Commissioner goes on. The DC duties will continue to be shared by the “team DC” so that Thelma is supported by:
- Ian Budd – Nights Away (NAN forms), adventurous activities, permits, district events, etc.
- George Longhurst – awards, presentations, etc.
- Nico Chart – admin, training, media, etc.
- Graham Meering – Compass, DBS checks, etc.
I am sure you will join us in thanking Colin again for his leadership, dedication and service as our DC for the past five years. Colin is going to become County Network Commissioner as well as being our Campsite Manager looking after our own camp site at Wilverley in the New Forest.
And thank you everyone for your continuing enthusiasm and hard work that it takes to give the young people of Southampton a great time in Scouting. Let’s make it another good year!
