During half term 45 Scouts from across the district took on a challenge to achieve an activity badge in a single day. Some Scouts opted to light their own fire and then cook 2 meals for their patrol. The rest of the Scouts found out about the different trees of the forest, how to protect them and also how to safely chop wood using an axe and a saw.
It was a hugely successful day.
Well done to all the young people who took part and thanks to everyone who came out to support the Scouts and help them achieve their badges.
